We dreamed of a better soccer experience for our children, so we created Charlotte Rise FC for yours.

Coaching Staff
Mike Spangler has been involved in the game of soccer for over 40 years, growing up in the game as a club and collegiate player and has 20 plus years’ experience coaching at various levels. He has spent the past 16 years coaching club soccer for boys and girls at ages U9 through U14. Prior to coaching club soccer, he spent three years as the Women’s Head Coach for Charlotte Country Day’s Junior Varsity team. Prior to that, he spent two years coaching recreational soccer.
Macey Kurtz
Macey Kurtz has been playing soccer for over 20 years and played collegiately at Winthrop University where she earned her degree in chemistry. After college, Macey has worked in the Charlotte area and has been coaching U9-U11 age groups for the past 6 years. Macey enjoys coaching at the younger ages where kids are able to develop skills and fall in love with the game.
